Acceptable Use Policy

The rules for what you can make with QuickVeed's video, avatar, voice and caption tools. They apply to everyone who uses QuickVeed, on every plan, alongside our Terms.

1. The short version

Create freely, but don't use QuickVeed to hurt people, deceive people, or take what isn't yours. Be especially careful with anything that shows or sounds like a real person. You are responsible for what you create with QuickVeed and for how you use it, including your prompts, scripts and anything you upload.

Automatic filters, both ours and our AI model providers', may block some prompts or outputs. A filter that lets something through doesn't make it allowed under this policy.

2. Content you can't create

Don't use QuickVeed to create, upload or share:

  • Any sexual content involving minors, or content that sexualizes anyone who is or appears to be under 18. We report this to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and to law enforcement, and close the account.
  • Sexually explicit or pornographic content.
  • Content that threatens, harasses, bullies or intimidates someone, or encourages others to.
  • Hateful content that attacks or demeans people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or another protected characteristic.
  • Content that promotes, glorifies or gives instructions for violence, terrorism, violent extremism, self-harm or suicide.
  • Graphic gore, or content depicting cruelty to people or animals for its own sake.
  • Content that helps someone make weapons, explosives or illegal drugs, or commit any other crime.

3. AI presenters and UGC-style creators

The presenters, avatars and UGC-style creators in QuickVeed's libraries are fictional people generated by AI. They aren't real customers, employees or influencers, and they haven't used or reviewed your product. When you use them:

  • don't present an AI presenter as a real person's genuine experience, for example as a real customer testimonial, review or before-and-after result;
  • don't use them to make claims about a product that you couldn't make yourself, such as false health, financial or performance claims;
  • follow the advertising and endorsement rules where you publish, including any rule that synthetic or AI-generated people in ads must be disclosed; and
  • don't use an AI presenter to impersonate a real person or to pose as a representative of a company or organization you don't act for.

4. Real people, faces and voices

Video, avatar and voice tools can recreate how a real person looks or sounds. Don't use them to:

  • create sexual, intimate or nude images, video or audio of a real person, whether or not they are famous, and whether or not you say it is fake;
  • upload, clone or recreate someone's face, body or voice without their permission. If you upload a photo, video or voice recording of a person to make an avatar or voice, you must have their consent to use it this way;
  • make a real person appear to say or do something they didn't, in a way that could mislead people, damage their reputation, or be used to harass them (a deceptive deepfake);
  • imply that a real person or brand endorses a product, service or cause when they don't; or
  • identify, track or profile people from photos or videos of them.

Clear parody, satire and commentary about public figures can be fine, as long as no reasonable viewer would take it as real and it doesn't break the rules above.

5. Deception and misinformation

Don't use QuickVeed to:

  • commit fraud or run scams, including fake documents, IDs, receipts, invoices, reviews or testimonials;
  • impersonate a person, company, government agency or other organization;
  • create fake news, or misleading content about elections, voting, public health, emergencies or other matters of public importance;
  • pass off AI-generated video or audio as real footage or recordings where that would mislead people about real events; or
  • send phishing messages, spam, or content designed to collect passwords or financial details.

Some places require AI-generated or altered content to be labeled, for example in political ads. You are responsible for following those rules where you publish.

6. Other people's rights

  • Only upload images, logos, fonts, audio, music, video and documents you own or have permission to use.
  • Don't use QuickVeed to copy or closely imitate someone else's copyrighted work, or to create content that infringes trademarks, for example counterfeit logos or merchandise.
  • Only caption, translate or re-voice videos you own or have permission to adapt.
  • Don't upload other people's personal information unless you have a lawful reason to, and never sensitive information you don't need, such as government ID numbers or financial account details.

If you believe content made with QuickVeed infringes your rights, see Reporting abuse below.

7. Using the service fairly

Don't:

  • create more than one free trial, for example with several accounts or email addresses, or otherwise work around credit limits, plan limits or billing;
  • share one login between several people, or sell or give away access to your account;
  • resell QuickVeed itself, or offer its tools to others as your own service through automation or an interface you build on top of it;
  • scrape QuickVeed, send automated requests outside the features we provide, overload it, or use it in a way that degrades it for others;
  • try to get around safety filters, for example with prompts written to trick them;
  • try to reach accounts, workspaces or files that aren't yours, or probe, scan or test QuickVeed's security without our written permission;
  • upload malware or files designed to harm systems or the people who open them;
  • copy, decompile or reverse engineer QuickVeed, or use it or its outputs to build or train a competing service; or
  • use QuickVeed for anything illegal where you or your audience are.

8. AI model providers

QuickVeed runs your requests through AI models from third-party providers, listed on our Sub-processors page. Those providers have their own usage policies, and a request that breaks them may be refused or may lead them to ask us to act. Content that follows this policy will almost always follow theirs too.

9. Enforcement

If we believe this policy has been broken, we may block a prompt or output, remove content, limit features, suspend users, or close the account, depending on how serious the problem is. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it. We act right away, without notice, where there is a risk of harm to someone, where the law requires it, or where an AI model provider or payment provider asks us to. Credits used on blocked or removed content aren't refunded, and we don't refund fees for an account closed for breaking this policy. We may report suspected crimes to the authorities.

10. Reporting abuse

If you see content made with QuickVeed that breaks this policy, uses your likeness or voice without your permission, or infringes your copyright or trademark, contact us. Include a link to or copy of the content and explain the problem. For copyright claims, also tell us which work you own and how to reach you.

QuickVeed is operated by Scalry Inc, 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States.
