In short

To convert words to minutes, divide the word count by the speaking speed in words per minute. At an average pace of 150 words per minute, 150 words take 1 minute, 300 words take 2 minutes and 75 words take 30 seconds. A slow, clear read is about 120 wpm and a fast one about 170. To go the other way, multiply the target length in minutes by the pace: a 60-second script at 150 wpm is 150 words.
