Questions about the Voice Recorder

How do I record my voice online for free?
Click Start recording, allow the microphone, and speak after the countdown. Click Stop and download the recording. There's no sign-up or watermark.
Can I save the recording as MP3?
Browsers can't record MP3 directly, so it saves as M4A or WebM, or WAV. M4A plays everywhere MP3 does, including iPhone, Android, Windows and Mac.
How do I get better sound?
Keep the microphone about a hand's width from your mouth, record in a room with soft furnishings, and leave Reduce background noise and echo on. Turn it off for music, where it can affect the sound.
Can I cut the start or end of my recording?
Yes. Download it, then open it in the free audio cutter to trim it or remove a mistake.
Is my recording uploaded?
No. It stays in your browser until you download it.
