Kapwing has a Free plan, Pro at $24 per member a month ($16 billed yearly), Business at $64 per member a month ($50 billed yearly) and a custom Enterprise plan. Pro includes 1,000 credits a month and Business 4,000; Free gives 10 credits in total and watermarks every export.
Kapwing publishes what each AI tool costs in credits, so this guide turns the plans into minutes of subtitles, dubbing and lip sync. Prices are from Kapwing's pricing page and help centre, read on 30 October 2026. For other editors, see our video tool pricing and alternatives guides.

Kapwing's help centre gives worked examples: a 3-member Pro workspace pays $72 a month billed monthly or $576 a year billed yearly; the same team on Business pays $192 a month or $1,800 a year. Kapwing doesn't offer a free trial of paid plans; its tools can be tried on the free plan.
How do Kapwing credits work?
Most AI tools draw from one credit balance. Kapwing's help centre lists the costs (updated 10 September 2026), and the pricing page caps some tools by minutes per plan:
| Tool | Credit cost | Pro (1,000 credits) | Business (4,000 credits) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Subtitles (transcription) | 1 credit a minute | Up to 1,000 minutes | Up to 4,000 minutes |
| Subtitle translation | 2 credits a minute | Up to 500 minutes | Up to 2,000 minutes |
| Dubbing | 10 credits per 30 seconds | Up to 50 minutes | Up to 200 minutes |
| Text to speech | 1 credit per 100 characters | Up to 50 minutes | Up to 200 minutes |
| Clean audio | 2 credits a minute | Up to 500 minutes | Up to 2,000 minutes |
| Lip sync | 30 credits a minute | Not clear on the pricing page | Up to 130 minutes |
| Image generation | 4 to 6 credits | - | - |
| Video generation | 20+ credits, by length, resolution and model | - | - |
The minute figures assume you spend the whole balance on one tool; in practice the tools share it. Credits refresh on the first of each month, whatever your billing date, and unused credits don't roll over. Business users can buy extra packs of 500 credits for $50, which also don't roll over; the pricing page lists buying extra credits as a Business feature. The plan cards also list voice clones and lip sync under Business.
Does Kapwing have a watermark?
Yes, on the free plan: the pricing page lists unlimited exports with a watermark on Free, and watermark-free exports from Pro up. Free is also limited to 720p, 4-minute exports and 30 minutes of exports a month. Kapwing's subscription FAQ (updated 10 September 2026) still mentions tighter free limits of 1-minute exports and 250 MB uploads, so expect the free limits to change; the pricing page figures are above.
For a one-off trim or crop without a watermark, QuickVeed's free browser tools cover the quick single jobs people often open a full editor for: trim, crop, resize, compress, merge, add text and change speed, plus a screen recorder. They run in your browser with no sign-up and no watermark.
Is Kapwing free?
There's a free plan with 10 credits in total (about 10 minutes of subtitles), 5 GB of storage kept for 3 days, a starter set of stock assets and one folder. It's useful for trying the editor. Anything you'd publish for a business needs Pro to remove the watermark and go beyond 720p.
Kapwing Pro vs Business: which do you need?
- Pro ($16 yearly, $24 monthly): watermark-free 4K exports, 2-hour projects, a brand kit, a shared workspace and 1,000 credits, enough for about 1,000 minutes of subtitles or 50 minutes of dubbing a month.
- Business ($50 yearly, $64 monthly): 4,000 credits, custom voice clones, lip sync, extra credit packs and 800 GB of storage.
- Enterprise: custom credits, SSO, invoicing and an account manager.
Kapwing's help centre says it doesn't issue refunds once you subscribe, so start monthly if you're unsure, then switch to yearly once you know you'll keep it.

Where QuickVeed fits
QuickVeed is not a timeline editor: there are no tracks, transitions or keyframes, and no template library. It does the AI jobs around an edit (captions, clips, dubbing, voice and avatars) and leaves the cut itself to an editor. If what you'd use Kapwing credits for is subtitles, clips or dubbing, compare by the job: QuickVeed's auto subtitles cost 1.5 credits a minute to transcribe; Podcast to Clips costs 1.5 credits per transcript minute plus 3 per clip for videos up to 3 hours; and AI dubbing takes videos up to 10 minutes in 32 languages with stock voices. Cloned-voice dubbing runs on a third-party GPU model, so try it on a short clip before you plan a whole project around it; the stock-voice route doesn't depend on it. QuickVeed plans are $18 a month for 1,000 credits (Starter), $42 for 2,500 (Boost) and $114 for 6,000 (Scale); yearly billing is 10 times the monthly price, and a new account gets a 14-day trial with 250 credits, no card needed.
