Klap Pricing (2026): Plans, Clips and Free Trial

Klap's Basic, Pro and Pro+ plans in November 2026: monthly and yearly prices, what 100, 300 and 1,000 clips a month cost per clip, what the free trial lets you do, refunds, the per-operation API prices, and what Klap's pages don't publish.

Klap Pricing (2026): Plans, Clips and Free Trial

Klap costs $29 a month for Basic (100 clips a month), $79 for Pro (300 clips) and $189 for Pro+ (1,000 clips) on monthly billing. Billed yearly they're $174, $474 and $1,134 a year, which the pricing page shows as $14, $39 and $94 a month (exactly $14.50, $39.50 and $94.50). There's no free plan: you can try Klap free on 1 video, but downloading clips needs a paid plan.

The yearly prices are on Klap's pricing cards; the monthly ones are in the page's own plan data and its homepage FAQ, both read on 1 November 2026. More breakdowns are in our video tool pricing and alternatives guides.

The short answer

Klap Basic is $29/month or $174/year for 100 clips a month, Pro is $79/month or $474/year for 300 clips, and Pro+ is $189/month or $1,134/year for 1,000 clips. Yearly billing halves the price. Every plan includes AI clipping, unlimited social accounts and analytics. The free trial covers 1 video that you can preview and edit, but not download or post.

Key takeaways

  • Klap charges by clips generated, not by minutes uploaded: 'Only pay for clips you generate.'
  • Yearly billing saves 50%: Basic works out to $14.50 a month instead of $29.
  • Per clip, that's about 29 cents on Basic monthly and under 10 cents on Pro+ yearly.
  • Klap's rule of thumb is about 5 clips per minute of video, so 100 clips can go fast.
  • Klap doesn't publish video length or export resolution limits on its pricing page.

Disclosure: we make QuickVeed and show how to do this in it, along with other ways. Details about other products come from their public pages, checked in November 2026 and linked at the end.

How much does Klap cost?

Klap costs $29, $79 or $189 a month, or half that on yearly billing. From the pricing page and Klap's homepage FAQ, checked 1 November 2026:

PlanForMonthlyYearlyShown on the cardClips a month
BasicIndividuals$29$174 a year$14/month100
ProProfessionals$79$474 a year$39/month300
Pro+Teams$189$1,134 a year$94/month1,000

The cards round the yearly price down; $174 a year is $14.50 a month. All plans include AI clipping, unlimited connected social accounts and analytics. For more than 1,000 clips, the pricing page says 'Need more? Let's talk!' and links to Klap's Discord.

What does a clip cost on Klap?

Dividing each plan's price by its clips:

PlanMonthly, per clipYearly, per clip
Basic (100 clips)29 centsAbout 14.5 cents
Pro (300 clips)About 26 centsAbout 13 cents
Pro+ (1,000 clips)About 19 centsAbout 9.5 cents

That's only the real price if you use the whole allowance. Klap's homepage says a one-minute video produces about 5 clips, so a 20-minute episode could use around 100 clips, the whole Basic month, in one go. Klap doesn't say on its pages whether unused clips roll over or whether clips you discard still count, so ask before you buy a yearly plan.

Does Klap have a free plan?

No. Klap's homepage FAQ says you can try Klap free on 1 video, with no card: you create a free account and Klap turns that video into clips you can preview and edit. Downloading and posting the clips needs a paid plan, and paid exports carry no Klap branding.

So the trial tells you whether Klap picks good moments from your kind of video, but you can't publish anything from it. Pick a representative episode, not your best one.

Monthly or yearly: which should you pick?

Yearly costs half as much, but it's a year up front. Klap's terms (section 10) say you can ask for a refund before the end of your first month if you're not satisfied. On yearly plans, a full refund is only available within that first month; after that, Klap refunds only fully elapsed months with no usage, up to the last 3, at 1/12 of the yearly price each.

A sensible path is a month of Basic at $29 to see how many clips you really use, then a yearly plan sized to that.

What Klap doesn't publish

Klap's pricing page is short. On 1 November 2026 it didn't list the longest video each plan accepts, the export resolution, how many team seats Pro+ includes, or whether clips roll over. Third-party sites quote figures for some of these, but they disagree and we couldn't find them on any Klap page, so we leave them out. What Klap does publish: it edits and transcribes in 52 languages (homepage FAQ), takes a YouTube link or an uploaded file, and connects to Zapier, Make and n8n.

How much does the Klap API cost?

The API is billed separately, monthly, by usage. Klap's API docs list three prices:

API operationPriceWhat it is
Generate short$0.32Create a short-form video from input
Video input$0.44Process and analyze a video input
Export$0.48Export videos after processing

Where QuickVeed fits

QuickVeed's Podcast to Clips does the same core job as Klap: upload a podcast, webinar or talk of up to 3 hours, and it suggests up to 10 moments of 15 to 90 seconds, reframes them to 9:16 around the speaker, cuts long pauses and filler words, and burns in word-by-word captions in 11 styles with a hook title and your brand kit. An hour-long episode costs 90 credits to transcribe, a small AI charge to find the moments, and 3 credits for each finished clip, so ten clips from an hour come to about 120 credits plus that AI charge (roughly $2.20 on Starter).

Where it falls short of Klap: it doesn't import YouTube links (you upload the file), it makes at most 10 clips per run, and clips export at up to 1280 pixels on the long side. Posting and scheduling to social accounts is on the Boost and Scale plans only. It also isn't a timeline editor. The upside is that the same credits pay for auto subtitles in 32 languages, AI dubbing and voiceovers, and that you pay per clip you export rather than per clip generated. QuickVeed plans are $18 a month for 1,000 credits (Starter), $42 for 2,500 (Boost) and $114 for 6,000 (Scale), yearly billing costs 10 times the monthly price, and a new account gets a 14-day trial with 250 credits, no card needed. A credit works out to about 1.7 to 1.9 cents.
