Riverside Pricing (2026): Plans, Free Plan and Limits

Riverside's plans in November 2026: Pro, Grow, Webinar and Business prices monthly and yearly, separate-track download hours, the free plan and 14-day trial (where Riverside's own pages disagree), AI credits, and what to use after recording.

Riverside Pricing (2026): Plans, Free Plan and Limits

Riverside's pricing page lists Pro at $29 a month ($24 a month billed yearly, $288 a year), Grow at $39 ($34 yearly, $408 a year) and Webinar at $99 ($79 yearly), plus a $0 Free plan and a custom-priced Business plan. Paid plans start with a 14-day free trial.

One caution before the details: on 1 November 2026, the copy of the pricing page served to us carried a notice that it was a staging environment and 'may not be up to date', and a Riverside blog post updated on 10 September 2026 gives different numbers (no free plan; Pro at $35 a month). We quote the pricing page and flag the differences, so confirm the price at checkout. More breakdowns are in our video tool pricing and alternatives guides.

The short answer

Riverside Pro costs $29/month or $24/month billed yearly ($288) and adds 4K recording, no watermark, unlimited text-based editing, Magic Clips and 15 hours of separate-track downloads. Grow is $39 or $34 yearly ($408) and adds live streaming, a second show and 20 hours. Webinar is $99 or $79 yearly with 25 hours. The pricing page also shows a Free plan (720p, watermark, 2 one-off hours of separate tracks), but Riverside's blog says the free plan was replaced by a 14-day trial.

Key takeaways

  • Recording is unlimited on every plan; the limit is how many hours of separate tracks you can download each month.
  • Yearly billing saves up to 20%: $24 instead of $29 on Pro.
  • Magic Clips, Magic Audio and the AI co-creator don't use credits; AI translation, AI B-roll and animated clips do.
  • Pro includes 2,000 AI credits; more can be bought once they run out.
  • Riverside's own pages disagree on the free plan and on monthly prices, so check at checkout.

Disclosure: we make QuickVeed and show how to do this in it, along with other ways. Details about other products come from their public pages, checked in November 2026 and linked at the end.

How much does Riverside cost?

From Riverside's pricing page, checked 1 November 2026:

PlanMonthlyBilled yearlySeparate-track downloadsStudiosHighlights
Free$0$02 hours, one-off-Up to 720p, Riverside watermark, 44.1 kHz audio, unlimited single-track recording and editing, Magic Clips
Pro$29$24/month ($288 a year)15 hours a month1Up to 4K, 48 kHz, no watermark, unlimited text-based editing and transcription, AI B-roll, Magic Clips and show notes, podcast hosting
Grow$39$34/month ($408 a year)20 hours a month2Everything in Pro plus 1080p live streaming and multistreaming, social scheduling, newsletter, creator website, video hosting
Webinar$99$79/month25 hours a month3Everything in Grow plus webinars for up to 100 registrants, lead capture, Q&A and polls, HubSpot sync
BusinessCustomCustomUnlimitedUnlimitedUp to 10,000 registrants, collaborative editing, producer mode, API access, SSO, SOC 2

The page lists Webinar's yearly total as $408, the same as Grow's, which doesn't match $79 a month (that would be $948), so we only quote the $79 monthly figure. Its comparison table also shows different separate-track hours from the plan cards; the cards and the FAQ agree on 15, 20 and 25.

Is Riverside free?

Riverside's own pages disagree. The pricing page shows a Free plan at $0: up to 720p video, a Riverside watermark on everything, 44.1 kHz audio, 2 hours of multi-track recording to try, unlimited single-track recording and editing, and Magic Clips.

But Riverside's blog post 'Is Riverside free?' (last updated 10 September 2026) says Riverside no longer offers a free plan and has replaced it with a 14-day free trial of Pro, Grow or Webinar. It says the trial includes every feature of the plan you pick, exports without a watermark, needs a card, and charges it on day 15 unless you cancel. Business has no trial.

Both pages agree on the 14-day trial. Whether a permanent free plan is open to new sign-ups is something to check on the sign-up page itself.

Monthly vs yearly: what's the real price?

On the pricing page, yearly billing saves up to 20%: Pro drops from $29 to $24 a month, Grow from $39 to $34 and Webinar from $99 to $79. The September blog post instead lists monthly prices of $35 for Pro and $45 for Grow, with yearly billing bringing them to $29 and $39 a month. Which pair you see may depend on when and where you sign up, so read the checkout total before you confirm.

What are Riverside AI credits?

Riverside's FAQ says AI credits power select features such as AI translation, AI B-roll and animated clips. Pro starts with 2,000 credits and Business with 12,000, and you can buy more once they're used. Core AI features (Magic Clips, Magic Audio and the AI co-creator) don't use credits. The per-feature credit rates are in Riverside's help centre, which blocked our automated reading, so we don't quote them here.

What happens if you go over the download hours?

Recording itself is unlimited. Separate-track downloads, meaning each participant's own audio and video files, are capped at 15 hours a month on Pro, 20 on Grow and 25 on Webinar. If you hit the cap, Riverside's FAQ says you can still access your content but can't download new separate tracks until the next billing cycle or until you upgrade. Even if each participant's tracks count separately, a weekly one-hour show with three people comes to about 12 hours a month, inside Pro's 15.

Which Riverside plan should you choose?

  • Pro ($24 yearly): remote podcast or interview recording in high quality, edited in Riverside, with clips and hosting. Most solo shows need nothing more.
  • Grow ($34 yearly): you also stream live, run two shows, or want Riverside's newsletter, scheduling and website tools.
  • Webinar ($79 yearly): lead-generation webinars with registration, reminders and HubSpot sync.
  • Business: teams that need several producers, collaborative editing, SSO or more than 100 registrants.

Where QuickVeed fits

QuickVeed is not a recording studio: it doesn't record remote guests, stream live or host a podcast, so it doesn't replace Riverside. Its free browser tools include a webcam recorder, a voice recorder, a teleprompter and a mic test that run in your browser, for recording yourself alone.

Where it helps is after the recording, especially if you record somewhere other than Riverside, or want more than Riverside's clips. Podcast to Clips takes an episode of up to 3 hours, picks up to 10 moments of 15 to 90 seconds, reframes them to vertical and adds word-by-word captions in 11 styles. An hour-long episode costs 90 credits to transcribe, a small AI charge to find the moments, and 3 credits for each finished clip, so ten clips from an hour come to about 120 credits plus that AI charge (roughly $2.20 on Starter). auto subtitles give you SRT or VTT files in 32 languages, and AI dubbing re-voices clips up to 10 minutes in another language. If you're already on Riverside Pro, its Magic Clips are included, so try both on the same episode before paying twice. QuickVeed plans are $18 a month for 1,000 credits (Starter), $42 for 2,500 (Boost) and $114 for 6,000 (Scale), yearly billing costs 10 times the monthly price, and a new account gets a 14-day trial with 250 credits, no card needed. A credit works out to about 1.7 to 1.9 cents.
